BCC travel map — data credits and limits Source review: 2026-10-02. Local review candidate; no publication performed. NPS public roads and points of interest https://www.nps.gov/subjects/gisandmapping/tools-and-data.htm https://www.nps.gov/aboutus/disclaimer.htm https://www.nps.gov/subjects/gisandmapping/data-disclaimers.htm Credit: National Park Service / National Geospatial Program; road GPS records also credit FHWA Cycle 6. No claim to original U.S. Government works. Retained public service records explicitly identify data as Unrestricted and Public Map Display. This does not imply public driving access. The displayed roads use a curated visitor-corridor allowlist; administrative, maintenance, employee, unverified and campground roads are omitted. Changes: select features, remove unused fields, project via the source service to WGS84, round NPS coordinates to six decimals, draw with BCC symbology. NPS source methods include NAIP, park trail records and FMSS building data; some selected trailhead locations reference ESRI imagery in NPS metadata. No ESRI imagery, tiles, photographs or geocoder output were acquired or copied. Source imagery was not re-traced by BCC. Underlying NPS point records are used. NPS source accuracy and collection dates are often unknown. Records have no guarantee of accuracy, completeness, current access or suitability for navigation. USGS shaded relief https://elevation.nationalmap.gov/arcgis/rest/services/3DEPElevation/ImageServer https://www.usgs.gov/information-policies-and-instructions/copyrights-and-credits Credit: U.S. Geological Survey, The National Map, 3D Elevation Program. Service publication: August 25, 2026; DEM mosaic publication through August 24. No claim to original U.S. Government works. An unmodified 1600 x 1100 JPEG export uses the service's Hillshade Multidirectional function. It is shaded elevation, not photography. BCC applies a low-opacity display treatment in CSS. The export is EPSG:3857 and is positioned by its returned bounds; geographic records are EPSG:4326. Approximately 30 m ground sample spacing at Bryce. Native source resolution and vertical datum are not asserted for the mosaic. No elevation measurement is exposed. Interpolation/illumination are derived. The external UDOT service has its own informational-use terms; BCC does not assign UGRC's generic CC BY license to it. Changes: select six primary routes, request WGS84 with 0.0002-degree server generalization, retain only identifying fields, draw overview context. No connected graph, intersection/turn validity or route distance is asserted. The source's use limitation follows: This data is for informational purposes and must be field verified prior to being used on a project. UDOT makes no warranty with respect to the accuracy, completeness or usefulness of this content or consequential damages resulting from the use or misuse of the content or any of the information contained herein. FAA / BTS airport coordinates https://services.arcgis.com/xOi1kZaI0eWDREZv/arcgis/rest/services/NTAD_Aviation_Facilities/FeatureServer/0 Credit: Federal Aviation Administration; USDOT Bureau of Transportation Statistics (distributor), National Transportation Atlas Database. Effective source date: September 3, 2026. Retrieved October 2, 2026. The service metadata expressly states that this U.S. government work is not protected by U.S. copyrights and is available for unrestricted public use. No claim to original U.S. Government works. Changes: select four airports, round positions to six decimals, add official current airport names/addresses. These are estimated airport reference points, not terminal, rental-car, driving-navigation or aviation-navigation positions. Other content and reuse NPS practical information is summarized, not copied as long prose. Airport names and public addresses are factual references. No third-party photographs, agency/airport logos, map tiles or copyrighted map artwork were added. Existing BCC branding, Gelasio and Inter are reused unchanged, with existing font licenses under /fonts/. Original BCC interface and explanatory copy. sources.json is the claim-level source ledger. Source links do not imply affiliation, approval, endorsement or a partnership. Known source discrepancies - NPS Directions prints DMS visitor-center coordinates and less precise decimal coordinates that do not match. BCC uses NPS public place geometry. - A NPS GIS parking label says Black Birch at mile 13.2, whereas the current NPS Black Birch viewpoint page places that viewpoint at mile 16.5. BCC uses the viewpoint coordinate/page and does not repurpose that parking record. - Shuttle page schedule blocks differ at a September boundary. BCC retains only the agreed overall 2026 season, not daily/last-bus times. - Some NPS roads are labeled administrative despite a public-road service description; those are excluded explicitly. - UGRC's 2014 airport data and an unavailable airport fact sheet were researched but are not used in this output. FAA / BTS supplies all four airport points. No Google API, map, route geometry, imagery or traffic data is used. External Google Maps and Apple Maps links contain public names/addresses and open only when followed. No keys, accounts, analytics or runtime external services.
